Handbell Musicians of America National Seminar 2012 Call for Presenters
Proposals to present a 75-minute workshop at our 2012 National Seminar are now being accepted and are due by November 9, 2011. National Seminar will take place July 18-21, at the Duke Energy Convention Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.
National Seminar 2012 will focus on providing educational opportunities for all levels of handbell musicians from beginning to advanced. In addition, it will offer workshops for members working in all areas of our instrument – church, school, community as well as ringing skills, conducting, and composing.
Proposals should include the following information:
- Workshop Title
- Two-Three sentence description that can be used in event marketing materials
- Outline of workshop content
- A brief statement explaining why this workshop will be valuable to event attendees
- Presenter name
- Presenter e-mail address
- Presenter mailing address
- Presenter membership status and member number
- Two references from colleagues that have observed this presenter leading this or similar workshops
- A brief statement explaining the presenter’s qualifications for teaching this particular topic
- Total proposal (excluding references) should be no more than two pages
Proposals should be sent via e-mail to [email protected] by 5:00 PM EST, November 9, 2011. References should be sent separately by the same deadline.
All proposals will be reviewed by the National Seminar Planning Committee by December 1. Selected presenters will be contacted by January 15.
