Handbell Musicians of America National Seminar 2012 Call for Performers
Applications are now being accepted from handbell musicians interested in presenting a concert performance at National Seminar 2012, and are due by November 9, 2011. National Seminar will take place July 18-21, at the Duke Energy Convention Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Performances will be offered in a variety of venues and settings. The provided lunches for this event will take place in an open concourse area that will not support a stage that is visible to all, therefore creative and new ideas for presenting a performance in this type of setting are welcomed and encouraged.
Proposals should include the following:
- Performer Name
- Performer Contact E-mail
- Performer Contact Address
- Performer Photo
- Performer Bio
- List of Concerts in the Past Year
- List of Standard Repertoire Performed (include title, composer/arranger, publisher)
- Description of Performance
- Staging and Equipment Requirements (note – all performers are expected to provide their own instruments)
- Link to on-line video of a performance
Proposals should be sent via e-mail to [email protected] by 5:00 PM EST, November 9, 2011.
All proposals will be reviewed by the National Seminar Planning Committee by December 1. Selected performers will be contacted by January 15.
