William H. Griffin Scholarship

The William H. Griffin Scholarship Fund was established in 2003 to honor Bill Griffin and his contributions to handbell music and Handbell Musicians of America. The scholarship helps qualified individuals to participate in Handbell Musicians of America’s Distinctly Bronze East, Crescendo, and Distinctly Bronze West events.

One scholarship is awarded to each event, which includes registration and up to $500 in reimbursable travel and lodging expenses.

Application Criteria & Instructions

  • Applicant needs to be an Individual member of Handbell Musicians of America, or the primary contact for their Group’s membership.
  • Applicant must demonstrate financial need.
  • Applicant is to articulate their goals to be realized by participating in Distinctly Bronze.

Applications for Distinctly Bronze East must be submitted by 11:59 PM (eastern) on December 31, 2025.
