J.R. Smith lives in Findlay, Ohio, and has been active in the handbell community for over 20 years as a ringer, soloist, and director with both church and community ensembles. He worked for many years in the printing industry before coming to HMA. He is very active in community theater, mostly on the technical side, but has also seen a fair amount of time on stage and in the director’s chair. He also sings barbershop and is pet father to his cat named Addie, short for “Sweet Adeline.”
