Cate Smith started playing handbells in 3rd grade, and she immediately loved it! She played for 10 years at Myers Park United Methodist Church aging up from junior bells to youth bells and started playing with the adult groups once in high school. She also played with Charlotte Bronze for 3 years, two of those being under Tim Waugh.
Currently, Cate I is a student at Clemson University in the Honors College and she is majoring in Biochemistry & Genetics (totally handbell related!) She is an avid reader, loves to cross stitch, and her favorite time of year is basketball season.
