CLASS INFORMATION

Class Title*

It is important that the title clearly and briefly identifies the topic of the class.

Does this class require more than one session?*

Each class session is 75 minutes long, and capacities are generally 25-35 people. Classes requiring only one session will be offered twice. Those requiring more than one session will be offered once in the schedule. Roundtable sessions will only be offered once.

The class description serves to state the rationale for the course and give an overview of key content covered, skills and knowledge to be learned, and how it will benefit the participant. It may include learning strategies and major activities. Class descriptions should be clear and concise, and around 150 words. This will be the description that is used for marketing your class.

What equipment should your class participants bring for themselves, i.e. mallets, singing bell dowels, split-back binders?*

What are three results you would like participants to come away with after completing the class?*

Example: Participants will be able to demonstrate: 1) the Shelley technique, 2) the 4-in-hand technique, 3) the traveling 4-in-hand technique.

All classes will be set up with a presenter table (without foam). If a ringing demonstration table is is needed, please choose that option below.

IMPORTANT: If projectors are requested, they will have an HDMI cable to connect to your laptop. If you require a different kind of connection, it is your responsibility to provide your own adapter.

CLASS MUSIC NEEDS

I will use a music packet that will be returned at the end of the class session.

Participants will be required to purchase music for use in the class.

ROOM SETUP

Handbells and handchimes will be in keyboard order unless otherwise requested. Tables and handbell/handchime sets will be arranged to fit the size of the room.

Faculty receive $100 per class session taught. For example, if you teach one class for four sessions, your payment is $400. Similarly, if you teach two classes for two sessions, you will receive payment of $400. If you are co-teaching a class, the $100 per class session is divided equally between the instructors. Faculty also receive full event registration that includes the option to attend classes when not teaching, access to Handbell Commons, all performances, and admission to the banquet lunch.
