Complete Level 1 of Handbell Musician Certification in Handbell Techniques, Music Theory and Conducting this summer in Area 8! Conveniently located in St. Louis, Missouri, we are offering these elements of our Handbell Musician Certification Program for the first 15 applicants on the beautiful campus of Missouri Baptist University.

We will also be offering Accreditation for faculty to teach Level 1 Certification courses in Handbell Techniques, Music Theory, and Conducting.  Each Accreditation class is limited to 6 faculty candidates.  Accreditation application details will be available April 1, 2016.

What is Certification?

The Handbell Musician Certification program is a comprehensive curriculum designed to provide training and experience at all levels to handbell musicians.  The study areas are Music Theory, Handbell Techniques, Conducting, Arranging and Composing, Handbell History (available on-line now!) & electives. Certification Class Fees:

Any 1 Level 1 Certification Class:     $170

Any 2 Level 1 Certification Classes: $240

All 3 Level Certification Classes:      $310

Accreditation Class Fee:

Each accreditation class: $225

Please note, to participate in the Accreditation Class, students must first complete an application for acceptance to the course.

Cancellation Policy

There will be a $50 cancellation penalty for any cancellations received before June 15.  After June 15, no refunds will be given for any reason.  A cancellation will be considered confirmed when written notice is received by the event registrar, Vickie Iverson at [email protected].

Lodging for the Event

Lodging is provided at the Drury Inn & Suites at Creve Coeur at the sharply reduced rate of $95 per night for a double occupancy room with an additional $10 per person.  Free breakfast and evening snack are provided, as well as free in-room Wi-Fi and many other amenities. Transportation to and from St. Louis International Airport, and to and from Missouri Baptist University will be provided upon request.

Meals

Breakfast is provided at Drury Inn & Suites.  Lunch can be obtained at Missouri Baptist University for $10 per day on Thursday and Friday (bring a check made payable to Missouri Baptist University or cash.) Dinners are on your own, although the Drury Inn provides free food and drinks each evening.
