At National Seminar, you will participate in educational and engaging classes; hear performances by select choirs and ensembles; and browse and shop exhibiting partner displays in the Handbell Commons. National Seminar provides the unique opportunity to meet and network with fellow handbell musicians and develop life-long friendships with those that share your enthusiasm and passion for our art. The 2027 National Seminar will be held July 20-24, 2027, at the Albuquerque Convention Center (401 2nd Street NW, Albuquerque, NM 87102).

Cancelation Policy
Refunds, less a $150 administrative fee, will be made for cancelations received in writing by email until June 15, 2027. Cancelations made after June 15, 2027, for any reason are non-refundable.

Handbell Musicians of America has secured a reduced rate at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Albuquerque, which is connected to the Albuquerque Convention Center by an underground concourse. As HMA has a financial commitment to this property, we appreciate all National Seminar attendees staying at this property.

All-Star Choir
Auditions for the 2027 National Seminar All-Star Choir will again be done via video submission. However, we are returning to a format where the ensemble will prepare the concert in only a few days by providing ringing assignments on-site in Albuquerque.
To be considered for the All-Star Choir please make a video of yourself performing provided audition excerpts, and then answer the questions on the application form. The video link is required to submit the application. Complete your video recording first, upload it to a public site (i.e. Vimeo, Google Drive, YouTube), and then include the link in the form. The deadline to submit your application is February 28, 2027.
Those chosen to participate in the All-Star Choir will be notified by email in early May. HMA staff will work with All-Star participants to adjust their class schedules and add the All-Star Choir rehearsals. All-Star Choir members must be full registrants of National Seminar 2027. Music must be purchased before arriving at National Seminar. The All-Star Choir will rehearse strenuously within the daily event schedule. Attendance is required at each rehearsal and the final concert. The All-Star Choir and Distinctly Teen Ensemble will perform at the closing concert of National Seminar on Saturday, July 24 at 2:00 PM (eastern).
