The NEW Master Ringers handbell ensemble of Southeast Alabama will present their “Bells & Brass for Christmas” concert with beautiful music for the holiday season at 3:00pm on Sunday, December 13th at the Johnson Center for the Arts. Located at 300 East Walnut Street in downtown Troy, Alabama the Johnson Center for the Arts with its live acoustics will resound with the brilliant sound of handbells and a brass quintet. Thirteen handbell musicians ringing 60 bells and 25 chimes will create a memorable musical experience unlike any other.
The Master Ringers will be joined by the Five Guys Brass Quintet who will play both with the ringers and on their own. The Quintet musicians include musicians from Troy and Enterprise.
Led by founding Director Dr. Paul McGahie The Master Ringers is a volunteer group dedicated to furthering the art and appreciation of handbell ringing. They meet weekly to prepare a wide variety of music including original music composed by Dr. McGahie.
