National Seminar 2026 All-Star Choir Application

To be considered for the All-Star Choir you must make a video of yourself performing provided audition excerpts, and then answer the questions on this form. The video link is required to submit this form. Complete your video recording first, upload it to a public site (i.e. Vimeo, Google Drive, YouTube), and then include the link in the form. The deadline to submit your application is February 28, 2026.

The All-Star Choir at National Seminar 2026 provides ringers the opportunity to work on advanced music with conductor Brenda E. Austin. To be considered for a position in the All-Star Choir, applicants must submit this form, along with a video of their performance of provided excerpts. The deadline is February 28, 2026.

The All-Star Choir will rehearse strenuously within the daily event schedule. Attendance is required at each of the seven rehearsals and the final concert. The All-Star Choir and Distinctly Teen Ensemble will perform at the closing concert of National Seminar on Saturday, July 18 at 2:00 PM (eastern).

Those chosen to participate in the All-Star Choir will be notified by email in early May with their position assignment. After receiving an assignment, music must be purchased and rehearsed before arriving at National Seminar. HMA staff will work with All-Star participants to adjust their class schedules and add the All-Star Choir rehearsals.

All-Star Choir members must be full registrants of National Seminar 2026.

Ringing Assignments:

Every attempt will be made to place individuals in their first choice of assignment, but there are no guarantees. Since only one choir will be assigned, your flexibility is appreciated.

Please rank the following handbell assignment range in order of preference from 1 to 7 with 1 being your MOST preferred and 7 being your LEAST preferred.
